Aldwinians take the second scrum and a good break from the 8 position takes the ball to the try line but again it was spilled forward. The next scrum was only 5 metres from the Aspull line but the away side secured their own ball. The decision was to play out from behind their own line and pressure from Aldwinians resulted in Jess Stafford ripping the ball from the Aspull player’s possession over the try line and scoring to make the difference 12-0 to Aldwinians with 15 minutes gone.

Rachael Marrow then proceeded to add the extras for a 14-0 lead.

From the forward drives at the breakdown another penalty against Aspull for a high tackle is called by the referee. Aldwinians then executed another set piece penalty move but managed to lose ground from misplaced passes and eventually knocking the ball on giving Aspull scrum possession on half way. The away scrum half continued to put the ball in from the Aldwinians side and the home pack pushed the away pack off the ball at the scrum and another Aspull injury but the referee penalised Aldwinians and Aspull gained yards from the kick to touch. Aspull win the line out but a crunching tackle from Jess Stafford results in an Aldwinians scrum. From the scrum another pre rehearsed move is completed only to spill the ball forward and the attack comes to nothing. Aldwinians then move offside at the scrum and concede ground from the kick to touch up to the Aspull 10 metre line. The home side win the line out and another penalty for a high tackle is awarded with Rachael Marrow kicking to touch for an Aldwinians line out in the Aspull half. Yet another move from the line out is made but just as the line beckons the ball is knocked on for Aspull scrum possession.
