We are looking for a Health & Safety Officer to help uphold the highest standards of safety, welfare, and compliance across our club and activities — following RFU best practices.
About the Role
As our Health & Safety Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our facilities, matches, training sessions, and events meet all legal and RFU-recommended safety standards. You’ll work closely with coaches, volunteers, and management to maintain a culture where the wellbeing of players, staff, and visitors is our top priority.
Key Responsibilities
Implement and oversee health and safety policies in line with RFU guidance and legal requirements.
Conduct regular risk assessments of grounds, facilities, and events.
Ensure all safeguarding, first aid, and emergency procedures are up-to-date and practiced.
Advise on safe equipment use, site security, and crowd management.
Record, investigate, and report any accidents, incidents, or near misses.
Provide training and support for staff and volunteers on health and safety best practices.
Ideal Candidate
Strong understanding of health and safety legislation and RFU standards.
Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to safety.
Experience in risk management and emergency response planning.
