We are looking for a Health & Safety Officer to help uphold the highest standards of safety, welfare, and compliance across our club and activities — following RFU best practices.

About the Role
As our Health & Safety Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our facilities, matches, training sessions, and events meet all legal and RFU-recommended safety standards. You’ll work closely with coaches, volunteers, and management to maintain a culture where the wellbeing of players, staff, and visitors is our top priority.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and oversee health and safety policies in line with RFU guidance and legal requirements.

  • Conduct regular risk assessments of grounds, facilities, and events.

  • Ensure all safeguarding, first aid, and emergency procedures are up-to-date and practiced.

  • Advise on safe equipment use, site security, and crowd management.

  • Record, investigate, and report any accidents, incidents, or near misses.

  • Provide training and support for staff and volunteers on health and safety best practices.

Ideal Candidate

  • Strong understanding of health and safety legislation and RFU standards.

  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to safety.

  • Experience in risk management and emergency response planning.

  • Commitment to promoting a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all.
